The Moreton Show Home & Garden team will be returning to Fosseway Garden Centre in Moreton in Marsh this Easter Monday (April 2nd) with their popular ‘Moreton Show - Have A Go’  sessions for children. Show organisers are hoping to encourage more children and young people to enter the classes in the Home & Garden section at this year’s show on Saturday, September 1st. Broadway father and son, Ken and Jason Brain made sure that success stayed in the family at the Farms and Crops annual prize giving, organised by the Moreton in Marsh and District Agricultural and Horse Show Society and sponsored by Knight Frank. Lost children at Moreton Show are a thing of the past, thanks to the wristband scheme sponsored and run by the Moreton in Marsh-based Dormer House School. Moreton Show is one of the biggest one-day agricultural shows in the country, with some 25,000 visitors coming onto the showground on the Batsford Estate. The deadline is fast approaching for entries for the big cattle competition of the summer - the new ‘Triple Crown’ competition of cattle showing which takes place at three Midlands agricultural shows. Hanbury Countryside Show in Worcestershire (Saturday, July 1st), Burwarton Show in Shropshire (Thursday, August 3rd) and Moreton Show (Saturday, September 2nd) will award the Three Shires Cattle Trophy to the exhibitor who gains the most points across all three shows.   A record turn-out saw 64 tractors of all shapes, sizes, colours and ages complete their 41-mile journey through the north Cotswolds on the annual Bluebell Run in aid of Cancer Research UK on Sunday (May 7).
